David Kuperstein Accompanist
David Kuperstein was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and at the age of six he was
accepted into the Stoliarski Special Music School for Gifted Children. He graduated from the Odessa Conservatory with a Master's Degree, summa cum laude.
After immigrating to the United States in 1989 with his wife, Olga, and two
children, Mr. Kuperstein worked with the Peabody Conservatory of Music, the
Baltimore School for the Arts, and the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
In 1990 he and his wife Olga, also a pianist, were invited to join the newly
opened Kirov Ballet Academy. Mr. Kuperstein has toured in the United States and
Mexico with the Academy's production of "The Nutcracker," as both an accompanist
and a stage manager.
Mr. Kuperstein is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association,
Maryland State Music Teachers Association, and Howard County Music Teachers
Association. His students have won numerous Maryland State and Howard County
piano competitions.
