The Academy's accredited academic program offers a full curriculum for students in grades six through twelve. A low student to teacher ratio provides students with the opportunity to receive individual assistance and guidance. Students participate in academic subject areas including, English, mathematics, history of music, art, and ballet, French, science, U.S. and world history, and social studies. In addition, students receive physical education credit and elective academic credit for ballet classes and other artistic requirements. Non-resident students may choose to enroll in the academic program, or arrange for their own academic education in accordance with the parameters of the dance education schedule. Graduation from the academic program meets all requirements mandated by the District of Columbia as well as those indicated for admission into selective colleges and universities.
